Spooky staff help to raise charity cash

A touch of Halloween horror came to a Swindon company when staff got dressed up and raised £300 for charity.

On Friday October 28, staff at The Hills Group’s head office were raising money for Breast Cancer Now’s Wear It Pink campaign – so decided to make the most of the time of year and wear pink-themed Halloween costumes.

The company’s charity committee organised a series of events to raise money for the cause, including turning the lounge area into a crypt where they sold jacket potatoes with various fillings.

There were also some games for staff to get involved in, including guess the number of sweets in the jar.

Lynn Daniels, chairperson of the charity committee, said: “We had lots of fun setting up this event, which was slightly unusual as we managed to combine the Wear It Pink campaign with the Halloween holiday.

“Loads of staff members got involved with weird and wonderful outfits, and they enjoyed tucking in to their jacket potatoes.”
