Over 1000 business people visited the STEAM Museum on Thursday June 30 for the South West Expo.

The event gave attendees the chance to hear from over 120 exhibitors, meet like minded businesses at speed networking sessions and benefit from 1-2-1 session with social media, international trade and business start-up experts.

An impressive line up of keynote speakers included the UK’s Number 1 Motivational Speaker, Brad Burton, award winning young entrepreneur, Julianne Ponan, double amputee and Afghanistan war hero turned inspirational speaker, Sgt Rick Clement, the ‘Entrepreneur’s Godmother’ and sales guru, Alison Edgar, and marketing genius, Richard Woods.

Claire Disney of Sedgemoor Publicity, who exhibited at the show, said: “It was an excellent day and had a vibrant upbeat feel. There was a definite buzz about and it was good to meet new potential clients. The footfall was extremely good and we finished the day with a very positive feeling and will definitely attend again. It was very well run and extremely professional.”

Alec Jones-Hall, Director of South West Expo, said: “We are delighted with the success of last week’s event. This is our fourth year running the South West Expo and we just keep seeing the event grow from strength to strength. The support of the regional business community has been fantastic – what a great day for business within the South West.”

Ian Larrard, Director of Swindon and Wiltshire Initiative at, Business West said: “We are delighted to have partnered with South West Expo to make this year’s event bigger and better than all previous events. There’s nothing like meeting people face to face and the exhibition gives people the opportunity to do just that. We’ve had incredibly positive feedback from both exhibitors and attendees. Thank you to all our exhibitors and sponsors and to all who attended.”

The Business Exchange supported the event organisers as a media partner for the third consecutive year and is proud to be part of such a well-regarded event.
