With the current crisis we are facing, a lot of hard-work and precautions have been considered to get offices and businesses back up and running. For businesses to keep running through the current crisis, social distancing guidelines have to be adhered to in order to keep staff safe. If you are planning on returning to your office space, make sure you keep reading this article because we are going to offer some tips to help you keep your staff safe.

Deep Clean

If you are looking to return back to work and you want to keep yourself and your staff safe then, the first thing that you should consider is doing a deep clean in the office. Since you or your staff have not stepped foot into the office for a while, it will be dusty and not as clean as it should be making it an unpleasant working environment. On top of that, there could be germs inside or outside the building and so a deep clean can help to prevent Covid-19 spreading. If you clean your office, your space will be as good as new and be clean and sanitised enough for everyone returning.

Rearrange Office Space

The next thing that you can do to keep your staff safe as they return to work is to make sure you clear some space and rearrange the furniture and other items in your office. When you rearrange your office space, you can clear some room and make the area bigger which will make it a lot easier to carry out social distancing between you and your staff. This might be tricky but it is something that you need to do.

Consider Storage

If you still don’t have enough space after rearranging your office then, another thing that you can consider doing to clear some space is to make sure you consider storage. When you have storage, you will be able to remove items from your office space without having to throw them out as they will just be moved to a different area. If you have furniture or equipment that you need but can do without using for a while then, you can put them into storage and bring them back to the office when you need to.

It doesn’t matter if you need a little amount of space or a lot of storage space, you will be able to rent a garage or lock up for your business that will provide you with exactly what you need. Make sure you have a look at the different options available so you can find the best temporary storage option for your business.

Provide Sanitation Stations

When you first walk into a building, it is a good idea to sanitise and wash your hands to remove any germs that you may have picked up outside so you don’t bring them into the building with you. When you are touching things, you could spread germs and then when others touch the same thing they could contract the germs onto their hands.

To make sure you and all staff are safe, you should provide sanitation stations in your office so when anyone enters, they can wash their hands before touching anything else in the building. You should also provide other sanitation stations in other areas to make sure you and all staff have clean hands at all times.

Keep This in Mind

There are a lot of precautions that you will need to take into consideration when it comes to getting back into the office. We’re sure that you will want to make sure you and your staff are kept safe and can carry out social distancing where needed so don’t hesitate to make any changes.
