Salisbury City Council takes first step to adopting EVs

By Ben Carey on 23 July, 2021

Salisbury City Council has added its first electric/hybrid van to its fleet.

The Ford Transit Custom Electric Hybrid will be used to transport equipment to Salisbury’s play parks on a daily basis, where the Council’s Grounds Team carries out important safety checks and inspections.

The Council is looking to purchase another electric/hybrid van later this year as part of its goal to replace or convert its entire fleet to electric powered vehicles.

Having declared a climate emergency in June 2019, Salisbury City Council is working to make the city as carbon neutral as possible by 2030.
