Salisbury Business Improvement District (BID) is partnering with procurement specialist, Meercat Associates, to help members cut the price of items such as gas, electricity, telecoms, water, pest control, safety testing and the processing of credit card payments.
The BID’s contract with Meercat Associates is based on “collective buying power” to source the best deals possible.
The scheme is FREE to all of Salisbury BID’s 550 members.
Robin McGowan, chief executive of Salisbury BID, said: “Reducing costs is a top priority for many businesses and this scheme is set to make a real difference. Our provider works only with BIDs and has a strong track record of saving millions of pounds across the country.”
He added: “Many members have found their savings are more than their annual BID levy.”
Meercat works with over 130 BIDs nationally and claims to have made them £15million of cost savings. Members who want to take advantage of Salisbury BID’s cost-saving scheme are “invited to contact the BID.”
Recent bills will be analysed confidentially to calculate potential savings.
Meercat manages the whole process on behalf of BID members, including securing the best prices, finding the most appropriate services, and managing renewal contracts and any supplier switches.
Salisbury Business Improvement District (BID) was elected in 2014 and encompasses 550 businesses within the ring road of the city centre of Salisbury. For more information, visit www.salisburybid.co.uk.
