Guyers House Hotel appeared on the popular BBC series ‘Escape to the Country’ last week.  The programme helps couples who are considering re-locating from a city to the countryside. They choose a selection of properties in a specific county and accompany them on the viewings.  They view three properties, one of which is a mystery house which is often an unexpected success.

The camera crew, presenter Alistair Appleton and the couple stayed at Guyers House Hotel in the heart of the Wiltshire countryside to enjoy what Wiltshire has to offer. Some of the footage was shot in Guyers House beautiful grounds.

Alistair Appleton introduced the couple to the rural charms of Wiltshire, hoping to find them a perfect country home. While in the county, Alistair also got the lowdown on an epic canal restoration project.

Exhausted from their two days being whizzed around the county, the couple and the crew were able to relax and enjoy the friendly charm of Guyers House Hotel and indulge in the locally sourced food served in Guyers two AA Rosette restaurant.
