Roadside scheme approval for new business park

A roadside scheme at the new 35-acre Hawke Ridge Business Park has been given the go ahead.

Located to the front of the park, the scheme will provide vital amenities to those working at the new development as well as to those living or working nearby.

When complete the scheme will include a small convenience store, a drive-through, three retail and takeaway units and associated parking.

Owners of the park, HPH Commercial Property, hope to announce the first new occupiers later in the year.

Chris Wordsworth, Development Director at HPH, said “This new element of Hawke Ridge Business Park was designed in response to local and commercial demand. We are very pleased to be incorporating these much-needed facilities into our development.

“The inclusion of a roadside scheme will provide important amenities not just for the new occupiers at Hawke Ridge but the existing local workforce in the area. Westbury has an unusually large employment base and we are aiming to support the needs of local businesses.”

Detailed Planning Permission has already been secured for four larger footprint business units. They vary in size from 8,700sq ft to 36,300 sq ft. with a total area of 72,300 sq ft.

HPH has also submitted a third Detailed Planning Application to Wiltshire Council for 20 small business units. The scheme, to be called Kestrel Court, will include 20 units ranging in size from 1,500 sq.ft. to 5,500 sq.ft. There will also be parking for 99 vehicles, secure parking for 20 bicycles and electric vehicle charging points. All business units are being offered either for sale or to rent.
