Purpol Marketing has scooped four awards in the 15th annual Stevie® Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
The Chippenham-based marketing consultant was presented with two Gold Stevie Awards in the ‘Most Valuable Business Development Professional’ and ‘Business Development Achievement of the Year – Services Industries’ categories.
It was further recognised with a Silver Stevie Award in the ‘Business Development Achievement of the Year – All Other Industries’ category and a Bronze Stevie Award in the ‘Most Valuable Business Development Professional’ category.
The recognitions were for the provision of remote digital internships addressing the Covid-19 challenge and how the company has pivoted from writing bids to supporting charities with grant writing on a no-win no fee basis to help them get through the crisis.
The Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service are the world’s top Honors for customer service, contact centre, business development and sales professionals.
Winners of the 2021 awards will be recognised during a virtual ceremony on 14th April.
Denise O’Leary, Founder of Purpol Marketing said, “To be awarded as a four-time winner by the most prestigious awards for business development and sales in the world is both humbling and amazing. What is really incredible is the recognition for our Kickstart Scheme and our summer programme of remote internships.
“With the bid writing element of our business on hold during the UK Lockdown, we refocused the business to provide grant writing support to UK charities on a ‘no win no fee’ basis, alongside training the next generation of digital marketers through three different internship programmes including the UK Government sponsored Kickstart Scheme.”
Purpol understands that Covid-19 has raised huge challenges, specifically for students. Work experience opportunities have evaporated, and recruitment freezes have left students without opportunities.
In 2020, Purpol supported 60+ students during the pandemic. As well as internships, Purpol’s digital Kickstart scheme was the first National Remote digital marketing scheme in the UK providing 50 placements for 16- to 24-year-olds at risk of long-term unemployment.
Maggie Gallagher, Stevie Awards President, added, “In the toughest working environment in memory for most organisations, 2021 Stevie Award winners still found ways to innovate, grow sales, please their customers, and secure new business. The judges have recognised and rewarded this, and we join them in applauding this year’s winners for their continued success. We look forward to recognising them on 14th April.”
