Chippenham based consultancy, Purpol Marketing, is celebrating the double after turning two on March 18 and being named as the New Business of the Year in the Bristol Post and Bath Chronicle Women in Business Awards.
The awards were held on March 17, in association with the University of the West of England, and celebrated the achievements of businesswomen and entrepreneurs across the region.
Denise founded Purpol Marketing in 2014 as an agency with a difference, specialising in the construction and manufacturing industries providing marketing strategy and bid management expertise.
Bristol Post managing director Sarah Pullen, who presented the awards, said the event, now in its third year, had become a key date in the calendar.
“Our finalists included women with a strong track record of success and experience as well as those still relatively early in their journeys. They came from engineering, retail, health and fitness, business support and the charitable sectors. Each with a very different story and each of them a fantastic role model.”
Denise said: “I am thrilled and so proud to have my business Purpol recognised as the New Business of the Year just in time for our 2nd birthday. As every entrepreneur and business owner knows, the ride is a rollercoaster, and the support of family and friends is so valuable. As a previous UWE student for both my Masters and Bachelors’ degrees I feel very connected to UWE and to be recognised in this way is very emotional and special.”
Purpol Marketing provides a unique service working with SMEs as well as larger organisations to develop bid strategies for major construction projects. Purpol has helped clients win substantial contracts with organisations such as Bristol Airport and win places on frameworks such as the £850m South West Wales Regional Contractors Framework and the Wessex Water framework of approved contractors.
