Purpol Marketing boss wins big at The Best Business Women Awards

Wiltshire businesswoman, Denise O’Leary from Chippenham-based Purpol Marketing recently won the ‘Marketing and PR’ category at the at The Best Business Women Awards – a competition which celebrates “the best female business talent from across the UK.”

Purpol Marketing provides ‘director level’ expertise in strategic marketing on a ‘pay as you go’ basis making professional advice “tailored and affordable.”

Denise’s team are “experts in all areas of marketing” and specialists in PQQ and bid management on public procurement tenders, especially in the construction and manufacturing sectors. They also work with SMEs across multiple sectors.

Winners were announced at a Black Tie Gala final which took place last month 2018 at Tewin Bury Farm, Welwyn. Other nominees in Denise’s category included Katherine George from Oh So Social and Jo Soley from Your Business Angel.

Denise –  who has been a chartered marketer since 2005 – said: “I am absolutely thrilled to win this national award and be selected from over 700 entrants from female entrepreneurs throughout the UK, women who are real trailblazers in their industries.

“To be judged as a winner by business experts in a rigorous process is a real accolade. The marketing category is new this year and I am delighted to be the first recipient of it.”

Debbie Gilbert, organiser of The Best Business Women Awards said: “We were delighted with the number of entries this year, which came in from all over the UK. This is a tough competition judged by business experts. To win is a major achievement.”

Debbie added that winners were selected for “their business acumen, determination, creativity and tenacity.”

According to organisers, the awards have proved “so successful” that they will move to a central London location next year with nominations opening in March for the 2019 celebration.
