Trowbridge-based Priority IT has enabled Wiltshire sofa maker Roger Lewis to automate its ordering processes with one of the UK’s leading high street retailers.

Roger Lewis designs iconic furniture for high-end retailers, including John Lewis and The Conran Shop, and makes around 100 pieces of furniture each week.

Priority IT has linked and modernised the sofa manufacturer’s computer systems so that it can now provide John Lewis with automatic updates on the production status of all orders.

Marc Richard, Managing Director of Roger Lewis, said: “Previously when an order came in we had to update the information manually on a large spreadsheet for John Lewis, which was incredibly time-consuming because it meant inputting information twice.

“Priority IT automated the system so that orders can now flow from our Sage system directly into the John Lewis reporting portal, which makes the process much faster.

“It automatically uploads information to John Lewis every day, notifying the firm when orders have been received, booked for delivery and dispatched. It has enabled us to streamline our processes so that everything works more efficiently, saving us both time and money.”

Priority IT has also created a system that automatically produces labels containing important delivery information for all sofas leaving the Roger Lewis factory.

Kieran Thomas, Managing Director of Priority IT, said: “We are delighted to have helped Roger Lewis streamline its processes and work more efficiently. This has resulted in real costs savings for the business.”
