Swindon’s Poulton Hill Vineyard has been recognised for the quality of its wines at the 2019 Independent English Wine Awards.
Located on the Wiltshire – Gloucestershire border, the vineyard was awarded a silver medal for its Special Reserve 2017 white and a bronze medal for its Phoenix 2017 white.
The Independent English Wine Awards is a consumer-focussed English wine competition, committed to helping increase sales of English wine and assisting with the continued progress of the industry.
Each entry into the Awards undergoes a blind test, meaning judges are only told the grape variety and vintage.
Poulton Hill Vineyard’s Managing Director, Tiléri Charles-Jones, said, “We are delighted with our most recent endorsements.
“The awards mean that all of the wines from the 2017 harvest with the exception of the rosé, which has sold out, are award winning.”
Earlier in the year, Poulton Hill Vineyard’s Bulari Sparkling Rosé 2015 was names as one of the best wines of the year at The World’s Finest Glass of Bubbly Awards.
Poulton Hill Vineyard’s award-winning wines are available to buy via the company’s website.
