Photographer puts businesses in the picture about the value of quality images

Quality images count, business networkers will be told at a talk in Swindon from photographer Lis McDermott.

Lis will be speaking on October 1 at Business Village, a weekly breakfast networking group which meets each Thursday at The Campanile Hotel. Lis, whose business is Headshot Diva, will explain why it is so important for a business to have a good visual presence.

“Having quality images is a very important part of any business portfolio,” said Lis. “The quality of your photos says a lot about your business, in particular your headshot. Does it portray who you really are and what your business is about? Do you just have one photo that you use all the time, or do you have a range of images that represent your business? If you have just one photo, fuzzy and out-of-date – or worse, taken on the beach – you’re not really portraying the right image.”

Before becoming a professional photographer, Lis worked for 34 years in education, latterly as the music adviser for Wiltshire. She started her own photography business seven years ago, with her focus mainly on people. She recently published her first photography book, ‘Headshot Diva – why your business profile affects your bottom line’.

Business Village meets each Thursday for breakfast and networking at The Campanile Hotel, on the Delta Business Park, Swindon, from 7.30-9am. The group charges no membership fee, just £10 per visit, and all are welcome.
