Outsource UK jump at the chance of raising cash for charity

Four colleagues from recruitment consultancy Outsource UK proved the sky’s literally the limit for the company when they each completed a two-mile tandem charity skydive.

Office manager Sue Kirby, contract recruitment manager Rosie Turner and recruitment consultants Becky Mycock and Jenny Loader all admit they were more than a little nervous as they were taken up more than 10,000 feet above the airfield at Wanborough, just outside Swindon, to make the jump.

Rosie Turner says that the knowledge that colleagues and families had pledged so much for CLIC Sargent, the charity that supports children and young people who have cancer, certainly helped. “We were quite nervous as we waited to jump, but we were very excited as well,” says Rosie.

“We could see that everyone before us was really enjoying it, and once we were strapped to our instructors and jumped out, it felt fantastic. You freefall for about a mile, and then the canopy comes out, so you get a chance to appreciate that last mile. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, and are still talking about it!”

The four raised a total of £1,742.65 plus Gift Aid for CLIC Sargent.
