It’s a known fact that around 65%[1] of workers consider changing their job as one of their New Year’s resolutions.

And if you are thinking of making the leap into a new role or career, the first quarter of the year is generally seen as the best time[2] to do so!

According to respected local employer and leading meals producer, apetito, January is an important month to ensure existing workers are happy and motivated in their current roles, also presenting a strong opportunity to recruit for new roles within the business with the recruitment market buoyant at this time.

Sharon Larkin, HR Director at apetito said, “Motivating our current team is really important at this time to beat the ‘January’ blues’ and it’s also the perfect time to speak to potential candidates about the opportunities that we can offer”.

apetito is currently recruiting for a number of roles across the business including launching the search for the 2023 graduate intake. The company has a widely respected, fast-track development scheme for graduates and is looking to fill around 20 positions across departments such as IT, Engineering, New Product Development and Marketing.

It is also recruiting for qualified multiskilled engineers working in a continuous improvement environment, responsible for performance improvement of equipment, and various manufacturing roles where it is offering weekend and weekday shift working.

Furthermore, apetito is hosting careers fairs to showcase these to local job seekers from 9am – 1pm on February 3rd and 4th where interested parties are invited to come along to its premises on Canal Road (Trowbridge) and discuss the opportunities available with the team.

Sharon added, “With all our positions, we always strive to provide ample progression opportunities to enhance our employees’ career development. Our employee packages are competitive, including an annual bonus, on-site restaurant, and other perks.

“We’re proud to be an accredited Living Wage Foundation employer, committed to a pay rate significantly higher than the mandatory National Living Wage. Recently we mobilised the new Living Wage ahead of the May 2023 deadline for our team, providing a 10.1% pay increase for all our Living Wage workers.

“Our brilliant team here at apetito is second to none. We’re immensely proud of our values which centre on making a real difference to those most vulnerable within society and know that our team members really encapsulate that within all the work they do.”
