Sterling Network Groups have launched a new online offering to help businesses in Swindon and Wiltshire stay connected.
The group which normally meets at Jurys Inn Hotel in Swindon have moved online during the pandemic and are using Zoom to offer the same structured meeting every other week. Sterling Virtual is helping maintain business relationships and visibility, it has also taken on an important role of providing emotional support to business owners at this challenging time.
Co-Founder and Director of Sterling Networks, Neil Davis, said, “It’s been a whirlwind of a launch as we’ve had to quickly adapt to the changing business world because of the coronavirus. Although no one could have foreseen the massive impact of Covid-19, virtual networking was always on our list for the future expansion of Sterling Networks as we could see the clear benefits.
“Sterling Virtual opens up new opportunities for Wiltshire businesses to connect with our other networking group members across Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Worcestershire. Now that the geographical boundaries of networking have been lifted, businesses can cost effectively network with businesses in different cities and different regions, providing a new sales and marketing platform without the restraints of logistics. Using our tried and tested meeting structure, networking virtually with 20+ members over 2 hours, gives each meeting a unique energy and genuine positivity.”
Neil added, “As all businesses enter a period of uncertainty, the new Sterling Virtual Networks provide a platform where members can support each other in a practical way. Sterling have an army of members in accountancy, HR, business advisors, IT… the list goes on. All waiting to start a conversation, build connections and provide support as a proactive sales and marketing lifeline.”
When lockdown lifts Sterling Virtual will complement the group’s regular face-to-face events.
