New hotel opens its doors this Autumn

Accor Hotels is investing in Swindon with a new Ibis Budget Hotel opening on Henry Street, near the train station this October. 

The hotel will be located at the gateway to the town centre and is expected to create up to 25 jobs, on top of the hotel franchisee’s existing commitment to the town, employing 30 people at the Holiday Inn Express Swindon City Centre. Similarly, due to complete a multi-million pound renovation before the turn of the year.

The opening of the Ibis Budget Hotel will provide an extra 73 affordable rooms.

The hotel will offer free wi-fi throughout and the reception will be open 24/7 making it ideal for people on the move.

All rooms are furnished with an en-suite shower room and flat-screen TV.

There’s a good value breakfast in the morning and snacks and drinks available at any time.

There will also be a café/bar opening as part of the hotel’s offering. This will be open to the public and people are invited to use the space for informal meetings and independent study.

Once open Swindon’s Ibis Budget Hotel will boast on-site parking, as well as being only 6-minutes walk away from the train station.
