Jack Hayward has become the latest apprentice to join the team at IT specialist Systemagic.

The 19-year-old, who lives in Westbury, Wiltshire, will be completing his advanced two-year apprenticeship with the company through Yeovil College in Somerset. He is studying for a City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence.

Jack said: “I think this apprenticeship opportunity is really good for me as it allows me to learn new skills in the workplace with much support and mentoring as well as earning a salary. I’m excited to be here.”

Jack already has a BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in IT which he gained while studying at Trowbridge College. Previously he was a pupil of Matravers School in Westbury.

Systemagic has been part of the local business community for 15 years. It provides IT support and maintenance for clients as well as broadband and internet connectivity, cloud services including online back-up and hosted exchange.

Last year the company won the Micro Employer of the Year title in the Bristol and Bath Apprentice Awards. The honour recognised the company’s commitment to employing apprentices.

Systemagic’s headquarters is situated at Waterhouse, a 17th Century country house with business facilities in Monkton Combe, near Bath.
