Netwalking: Combining networking and fresh air

By Anita Jaynes on 14 March, 2016

Fancy an invigorating walk in the fresh air surrounded by beautiful classic British countryside with like-minded individuals?

Anna-Marie Watson from Reach for More. and Wafaa Powell from Dancing Flavours have joined forces to create a series of netwalking events in the South West region. Their partnership is based on a mutual love of the great outdoors, walking, talking and bringing people together to share ideas, concepts, support and laughter.

Each netwalk is structured around a theme with a series of questions to encourage conversation and explore different aspects of your professional life. It’s the perfect opportunity to reflect on work, bounce ideas about with others, generate new strategies, develop new opportunities, build connections and draw inspiration from nature one step at a time with the added bonus of gentle exercise.

The first netwalk took place on Wednesday February 16 in Bradford on Avon and received some great feedback:

“A much more relaxed and friendly way of networking and the icing on the cake [was] being out in the fresh air.” Rachel Brastock, Understanding Talent.

“It was my first experience of networking and I thought the idea of walking and talking was brilliant.”Fiona Haser Bizony, Electric Daisy.

Swop your business suit for welly boots and head outside to join fellow enthusiastic netwalkers to walk, talk and network. Future netwalks are on Tuesday March 15 at Bradford on Avon, Tuesday April 12 in Devizes and Thursday May 12 in Bath with further events planned over the next few months.
