By Anita Jaynes on 28 April, 2016

James Gare has been appointed Partner at West of England Chartered Accountants Monahans.

Joining from MacIntyre Hudson, James has relocated to the area from London and the South East and brings over 15 years’ experience in the Not for Profit sector.

Specialising in all aspects of Not for Profit accounting, including charities and academies, James is looking forward to working closely with the rest of Monahans’ specialist team in advising the firm’s wide and varied range of clients.

James said: “Monahans’ expertise and reputation in the sector, as well as the opportunity to relocate my family to such a beautiful part of the world, attracted me to make the move.

“Charities and Academies are under an ever increasing pressure to deliver their outcomes more efficiently and effectively. Combined with additional regulation and scrutiny, it is a surprisingly challenging sector to work in. I get a great deal of satisfaction helping my clients achieve their aims knowing that they are making a very real difference to their local communities.

“This is particularly true of academy schools, which are currently under enormous pressure to keep costs low yet deliver continually improving educational outcomes. With the recent announcement that all schools are to become academies by 2022, it’s an exciting time for the sector and I am looking forward to supporting local schools accordingly.”

James is based at Monahans’ Trowbridge office and can be contacted on 01225 785520.
