Lightweight steel roofing company Metrotile UK has announced a two-season deal sponsoring Chippenham Rugby Club.
Wiltshire-based Metrotile UK, which is based just next to the club in Sheldon Corner, will be Platinum Sponsor for the next two seasons, in the biggest sponsorship deal in the club’s history.
The deal will allow the Chippenham RFC, for the first time ever, to provide a match shirt for every player across the club.
John Cunningham, managing director of Metrotile UK, said: “We are delighted to have the opportunity to be part of such an exciting, successful and progressive club. I am delighted that Metrotile can be involved in local community sport.
“Metrotile is excited at the prospect of working with Chippenham RFC and is looking forward to developing the great synergy that exists between all club sponsors, club members and local businesses.”
Metrotile is the UK’s leading supplier of lightweight steel roof tiles, providing an innovative and sustainable solution for a variety of types of property from industrial and commercial units through to mainstream domestic and conservatory construction.
Last year the company, which employs 17 staff at head office and across the UK, grew 30 per cent and currently turns over in excess of £7 million per annum.
Until now, Chippenham RFC has only been able to provide kit for the first XV through sponsorship support. Kit for other teams has been funded by players and parents.
However the new deal will see all senior, junior, girls, mini and touch rugby players provided with their own shirts.
