To celebrate the finalists in our inaugural Techies Awards 2018, we are running a series of profiles on the tech firms that caught our judges eye.

Here we put the spotlight on Purple Lime, finalist in the Driven by Data category.

Company: Purple Lime Accountancy Ltd

Located: Corsham, Wiltshire

Number of Employees: 5

Turnover: £240K

Located at Corsham’s Hartham Park, Purple Lime has evolved from a start up with two directors at the outset to a team of highly capable accountancy and technological experts, helping clients with a wide range of accountancy solutions.

The company considers itself as part of the new wave of accountancy firms, forming the outsourced finance department for clients. As well as undertaking the compliance work expected of accountants, Purple Lime takes a proactive approach in advisory solutions encouraging the collection of financial data and reporting in real time, giving their clients the edge when it comes to making decisions.

As an outsourced finance department for small businesses covering all areas from bookkeeping through to finance director support, Purple Lime entered the market recognising a niche whereby SMEs did not have access to live financial data which is crucial to running and growing a successful business.

The company aims to be a one stop shop. Every business is unique which is why services are tailored to the specific requirements of the company’s clients.

A key part of the business is utilising the latest cloud-based technologies within the accounting industry to deliver valuable services to clients and helping businesses to rethink the ways in which they have traditionally worked.

The company prides itself on its ability to look forward and report in real time, streamlining processes through use of technology to gain efficiencies within businesses.

Technology is just part of the solution. Purple Lime also places emphasis on investing time and effort in its people, processes and client relationships in order to help organisations achieve their goals by understanding their numbers every day.

With the digital revolution, Purple Lime is at the forefront of change in accounting industry.

“It’s a really good feeling to be shortlisted. We focus quite heavily on technology and innovation, which is why these awards appealed to us. To be recognised in the shortlist is really positive, given what we’re trying to do.” Oli Thomas, Co-Founder, Purple Lime Accountancy Ltd.
