Cardwave Services Ltd is a multi-award winning, pioneering services company, specialising in removable and embedded solid-state storage solutions. The core of the business is focused on large, blue-chip organisations to help them to manage, distribute and protect their digital assets (content with commercial value) on storage devices.
The company operates from production facilities in the UK and USA, and is currently setting up an office in Argentina, to cover an expansion of the business into South America.
Paul Norbury, founder and Chief Executive of Cardwave established the company in 2004 at a time when flash memory was very new, so new that SD cards and USB drives hadn’t yet been invented, and smart phones and tablet computers didn’t exist. The motivation for the business was driven by a lack of understanding of the technology and how it could be applied to a business who commercialise data, plus the big question “why are flash memory cards sold blank when all other forms of media are first sold with pre-recorded content?”.
Since the company started trading in 2005 it has grown from strength to strength, it has won multiple business awards and it continues to evolve with its customers at the heart of the business. Cardwave has grown to be so much more than a specialist in flash memory, it is now an integral part of its customer’s supply chain management solutions and offers a suite of products and services that are very relevant in today’s digital economy.
Cardwave’s passion for data and keeping it secure, extends to its SafeToGo® brand of security products. SafeToGo® and newly launched SafeToGo® Solo (March 2018) are hardware encrypted USB3.0 flash drives that offer a simple, cost-effective solution to keeping sensitive data safe on the move, a must-have for organisations working towards GDPR compliance ahead of May 2018.
Cardwave also offers SmartDrive, a content management solution (a flash drive you can update, brand and track) and a data recovery service called Data Resus. This online service can be used to recover corrupted or accidentally deleted data from storage devices, including smart phones, laptops and memory cards.
“We are all delighted that Cardwave and our SafeToGo® products have been chosen as finalists in two categories in the inaugural Techie awards this year and we look forward to a great evening celebrating with the other finalists on the 10th May.” Paul Norbury, Chief Executive, Cardwave.
