Excalibur scoops major mobile industry award

In a major coup for Wiltshire and the South West, Excalibur Communications picked up the coveted Mobile Industry Award for Best Unified Comms Dealer at The Mobile Industry Awards on Friday June 3, 2016.

In an awards ceremony dominated by industry heavyweights such as Tesco and EE, the Swindon-based company, who provide mobile and IT solutions for business, was judged to be the best across the whole of the UK for the way in which it integrates communications for its customers.

James Phipps, Excalibur’s CEO, said: “This is a tremendous landmark in our company history.  It recognises the extremely high levels of service that we strive to provide for our customers, so that true future-proofed unified communications all work in harmony, allowing them to work more effectively.”

The Mobile Industry Awards’ judges recognised Excalibur’s considerable innovation, particularly with converged services that enable voice and data services to work together – and how the company has helped businesses of varying sizes across numerous market sectors to use mobile phones as highly effective enablement tools.

Whilst maintaining its solid reputation for mobile, Excalibur has actually doubled its non-mobile customer base each year for the past three years.  In the last 12 months alone, Excalibur has also launched 20 new products – all backed by its managed service agreements that give customers a dedicated account manager.

Judges commented that a total commitment to customer service tipped the balance in favour of Excalibur in what was one of the most fiercely competitive awards on the night.

“The attention to detail and level of commitment to ensuring every customer had a positive experience was what made Excalibur the winner. The unified comms dealer paired this with superb commercials and impressive investment in staff.”

It was particularly pleasing for James that these attributes were identified as key in the victory. He added: “We pride ourselves in being a true business enabler. We operate in a competitive market and realise it’s our customer service and commitment to help our customers succeed that set us apart from the networks and other dealers.  I am so proud of all we have and all we continue to achieve.”
