Love Local Trowbridge – Day 6

By Anita Jaynes on 15 October, 2020

It’s day six of our Love Local Trowbridge campaign and today we’re putting the spotlight on Knees Home & Electrical.

Knees is a family business with a history dating back to 1879, when Henry J Knee took over his former employer’s premises, Chapman’s, on the corner of Fore Street and Church Walk in Trowbridge. In those days it sold a wide selection of things for the house including paints, varnishes, mantel pieces, tile hearths, kitchen ranges, stoves and lamps.

Over 140 years later, Knees still specialises in goods for the home and still sells items that you would have found in store when it began, such as kitchen ranges and lamps. However, it now has a whole host of items for the modern home from electrical goods such as washing machines and dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, and dining, living and bedroom furniture. It also offers bespoke fitted kitchens.

In the last few years Knees has invested in its online sales and has a strong following of customers from across the UK.

To find out more pop into the shop at Spitfire Retail Park, Bradley Road, Trowbridge or visit Knees Home & Electrical online at:
