It’s day four of our Love Local Swindon campaign and today we’re putting the spotlight on Sewcraft, thanks to our sponsor Fiona Scott Media Consultancy.
Sewcraft is based on 33, Havelock Street, Swindon and is run by Julie and Roger Shackles. The couple have been running the shop for the last 21 years. Julie, who is Swindon born and bred, took over the shop from her aunt and uncle who opened it in 1964. She believes that the success and longevity of the business is due to the personal service they provide and sector knowledge, and will go the extra mile for every customer.
The shop stocks everything that you need for your needlecraft project from craft essentials to fabrics, dyes, cottons, wool and sewing machines. Sewcraft also offers sewing classes and workshops.
Sewcraft had to close its doors during lockdown, but is pleased to have reopened for business. Social distancing measures have been put in place to help keep customers safe and the team have also introduced a click and collect service.
To find out more pop into the shop or visit Sewcraft online at: www.sewcraftswindon.ltd.uk You can also follow them on Facebook @sewcraft
