For the next week (Saturday 26th September – Friday 2nd October) we’re celebrating Melksham, as part of our 15 week #LoveLocalWilts campaign.
Melksham is a small historic town on the River Avon with a present population of around 23,000. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book and its early wealth was founded on agriculture and the wool trade. Today it’s a growing town with an historic quarter and a thriving business community, both its centre and wider area.
Melksham and its independent businesses
Melksham has a vibrant high street with many independents and over the next week we are going to be showcasing seven of them. Today we’re putting the spotlight on the town’s indie florist, Flowers in Focus. The business started by selling flowers on the street in 1998 but has since grown and is situated at 25 Bank Street.
Flowers in Focus arrange flowers for all occasions, using fresh, seasonal blooms and foliage. The team pride themselves on choosing the best flowers and colours to express the right sentiment for each occasion.
Pop in to the shop when you’re next in Melksham or visit Flowers in Focus online to find out more about their delivery service. Go to: www.flowers-in-focus.co.uk or call: 01225 709008
Love Local Melksham is part of The Business Exchange’s Love Local Wiltshire campaign (#LoveLocalWilts). Over the next 15 weeks we are encouraging people to buy local, explore Wiltshire’s amazing towns and city and support the many independents which make this area so unique.
