It’s day six of our Love Local Calne campaign and today we’re putting the spotlight on Sampaguita Cafe Calne.
The cafe is located in a secluded court yard which can be found down a small alley way off Church Street, opposite St Mary’s Church.
Sampaguita offers good food with an asian twist and serves an all day menu which includes, breakfast, daily lunch specials to eat in or take away, scones, cakes and a selection of hot and cold drinks. The cafe also prides itself on having a wide selection of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.
The cafe is an independent business run by Tess, who is originally from the Philippines and she’s passionate about creating a warm and friendly atmosphere for customers to enjoy. The cafe’s name is Filipino and Sampaguita is the name of the national flower of the Philippines.
Sampaguita cafe holds regular theme nights through out the year featuring food from around the world. It also offers outside catering for private functions.
