With Lockdown 3.0 upon us, The Business Exchange is
asking for your insights regarding coping strategies, new habits and how to
stay positive throughout this third (and hopefully final) national lockdown.
Lizanne Keenan, Founder of Wiltshire-based human resources consultancy LK HR, gives us her insights on Zoom workouts, too much screen time and why she doesn’t believe in New Year resolutions.
How are you keeping positive through Lockdown 3.0?
Fitness has always been a big part of my life and helps with
my mental wellbeing. Releasing the good endorphins changes my mood instantly. I
workout with a great bunch of ladies and have had to adapt to doing this on Zoom
during lockdown. Seeing their faces and motivating each other is such a lift.
How are you structuring your day? Have you changed your
Routine has always been important
and trying to keep to routine keeps sense of purpose. I get up, attend the Zoom
workout, walk the dog, get the children ready for online schooling and log in

time to research, attend workshops (virtually) and network (virtually) more.

believer in New Year resolutions; it’s a bit like ‘I will start my diet on
Monday’! If you want to change, don’t wait, grab the bull by the horns and
embrace it there and then. Surround yourself with the people who are going to
support you and keep reminding yourself why you want the change.
Have you introduced any new rituals?
No new rituals but I have introduced
more ‘me’ time. Also, reminding myself that it is ok to say no. If you don’t
look after yourself you are no good to anyone.
What are you most looking forward to when restrictions

What is your biggest goal this year?
To grow my business.
What has the past nine months taught you and how has it
shaped your future for the better?
It has taught me how well and how
quickly we can adapt when we are all in it together. It has also shown how we
can all support one another and reminded me that we are not alone.
