Law firm appeals for support to raise money for cancer charity

Wills and probate executive Christina Kenton, a team member at Wiltshire law firm Bevirs, is organising a breakfast in aid of Cancer Research UK.

The 27-year-old who lives in Calne, has worked at Bevirs’ office in the town for almost three years and felt she would like to give something back by inviting local business people to a free, fundraising event.

Christina said: “Sadly, most people will know someone or have a loved one who is currently fighting cancer. Although treatments are becoming more successful, there are still too many people losing their lives. The work done by Cancer Research UK is vital and this seemed a great opportunity for us at Bevirs to add a local event as part of the national campaign to help fund that research.”

Bevirs’ Big Breakfast for Cancer Research UK will take place at the firm’s Calne office at 3 Market Hill, Calne at 7.45am to 9.15am on Friday March 11.

Food and drink are being sponsored by Bevirs with fundraising activities on the morning including egg roulette, count the cereals and a breakfast quiz with a prize for the winner.

A continental breakfast and bacon rolls will be provided and guests are asked to book in advance by Friday March 4 by emailing Christina.kenton@bevirs.co.uk

The event is part of the national Britain’s Biggest Breakfast appeal by Cancer Research UK which is taking place throughout March.

Bevirs has been part of the Wiltshire business community for more than 130 years. The team offers a range of legal services and further details are available at www.bevirs.co.uk
