Wiltshire IT company Systemagic has been instrumental in helping one of the south west’s most successful construction companies to improve performance.
Systemagic, which has offices in Trowbridge and in Bath, has been working with construction company Halsall since June last year, to work more smartly across its many sites. Halsall is a business known particularly for its work in the residential, health, and education sectors.
As a result, staff work across many construction sites which change frequently and may be many miles away from Halsall’s head office in Peasedown St John, near Bath.
James Eades, managing director of Systemagic, said: “Halsall was a company frustrated by the fact their remote sites were sometimes unable to connect back into head office to access emails and files. One of the reasons for this was extremely slow broadband.”
Staff at Systemagic have resolved the problem by installing a superfast fibre optic broadband line direct to Halsall’s premises, giving extremely fast and reliable access to the internet.
James said: “This is a real example of how taking a more strategic view of a business’s technology requirements can made a significant difference to performance.”
Carol Heneghan, new business and marketing manager for Halsall, said the partnership with Systemagic was transforming the business.
“Systemagic came up with a solution to increase our connectivity across multiple sites. At any one time we can have up to 15 sites active, some are in quite remote areas presenting various challenges when it comes to communication. Already the speed of connection has been brilliant. Everyone in the business is benefiting from the improvement in speed and connectivity.
The business has grown considerably over the last year and our ambition is continue the growth and improve our customer service experience through improved business and IT strategies and working towards ISO 9000 accreditation.”
