HPH set to invest in Warminster

HPH Commercial Property is helping to meet Wiltshire’s growing demand for fit-for-purpose industrial space.

The Bath-based firm was established in Wiltshire in the 1950s and owns Warminster’s Northlands Industrial Estate. In recent months HPH has been working with one of its tenants, Warburtons, to agree a programme of investment to upgrade existing facilities and make improvements to their buildings.

In the last year HPH enabled the company to expand into an additional unit and increase their staffing numbers. The investment in the site included an upgrade of the existing building as well as new line mixers, robots and freezers.

Lindsay Holdoway, managing director of HPH Commercial Property, said, “It is important for us to work closely with our tenants to retain key businesses and employers in Warminster for the benefit of the town. This not only helps to secure jobs but also shows that West Wiltshire is a thriving hub for businesses, including a well-established food manufacturing sector.

“HPH prides itself on the way it works with companies to ensure they have the accommodation they need to allow their businesses to thrive. We go above and beyond the standard landlord-tenant relationship, and have a team which can offer advice, expertise and solutions throughout the lease term.”

HPH is now looking to offer a unique opportunity to other growing businesses in the region in need of suitable modern industrial space.

Another tenant has recently secured planning consent for a purpose-built cold storage and warehouse facility over twice the size of its existing facility in Warminster and will be leaving Northlands Industrial Estate making available a highly sought after unit.

The move will help alleviate the increasing demand for industrial space. According to Savills the national total take-up of warehouse space was more than 24 million sq ft in 2015, up on 2014’s figure of 22 million sq ft. and Alder King have reported that industrial demand is far outstripping supply in the South West in their latest market report.

Lindsay Holdoway added, “This market movement will provide a golden opportunity for any firm needing to spread its wings and cement its presence in the South West. Located in Warminster, the Northlands Industrial Estate enjoys good transport links to Bath, Bristol and the south coast.”
