Photographs have been released showing how Wiltshire’s newest business park is taking shape.
The aerial pictures reveal how the Hawke Ridge Business Park, near Westbury, is progressing since work started last September.
The ground works include a new roundabout at the junction between the new business park and West Wilts trading estate on the B3097.
The first phase of works, which cost in the region of £2 million, also include new bus shelters with real time information being installed on Hawke Ridge Road and Link Road and a new access road to the estate, which will have prominent entrance signs with generous landscaping and tree planting.
Bath based developers HPH Ltd, who are behind the scheme, appointed IMA Transport Planning, also based in Bath, as the principal consultants and design engineers for the project. Another Bath firm Sightline Landscapes were appointed as landscape consultants.
The main contractors for the infrastructure work are Dave Lucey Ltd of Frome, whilst the landscape contractors are Keystone Environmental of Tetbury.
When complete the 35-acre development will provide more than half a million square feet of much-needed modern facilities and will support over 1,000 jobs.
The first phase of work is due to finish over the summer. A detailed planning application for the first commercial units is expected to be submitted later in the year.
Chris Wordsworth, Development Director at HPH, said “We are excited by how quickly the first phase has progressed and we would like to thank the local community for their patience while the work has been ongoing, particularly with the roadworks and closures that have had to take place.
He added “With the groundworks now almost complete Hawke Ridge Business Park is nearly ready for its first occupiers. We already have a number of businesses looking very seriously at the development, and we are excited about the projects already under discussion.
“HPH take an occupier focussed approach and we will work closely with new occupiers to build modern efficient accommodation tailored to the needs of their business.”
