The recently consented Hawke Ridge Business Park near Westbury is expected to draw new businesses to the county, responding to the upswing in market demand and the successes that Wiltshire has enjoyed in recent years.
Outline planning consent for the 35 acre site owned by Bath based HPH Commercial Property was approved by Wiltshire Council in July on the back of the site`s inclusion in the County’s draft Core Strategy for employment.
With companies such as Hitachi, Herman Miller and Welton Bibby and Baron establishing themselves close by, the development of Hawke Ridge is a genuine statement of intent and confidence in terms of the region’s economic base.
HPH Commercial Property will work closely with businesses to build bespoke units to suit their needs, with associated yards, parking, servicing and landscaping. Responding to design and environmental criteria set by Wiltshire Council, HPH will ensure that construction is of the highest standards, creating efficient and sustainable properties designed to meet the commercial needs of the area now and in the future.
The company has a proven track record of commercial development in the area. Established in Wiltshire in 1955 and with properties throughout the region including Westbury, Warminster, Corsham and Bath, HPH has a clear commitment to a cohesive and well-structured approach to property.
Installation of initial road infrastructure on the site is expected to start in early 2015 with the first occupiers setting up in late 2015.
Chris Wordsworth, Development Director at HPH said, “Hawke Ridge Business Park will bring with it a significant number of new employment opportunities to the area. We have been receiving very clear signals from our existing occupiers particularly in central Wiltshire and the Bath area that there is a strong level of pent up demand and the message is quite clear that there needs to be further supply of modern properties brought into the market to respond to this demand.”
Marketing agents JLL and Alder King are formally launching the availability of the site this month and are already in early discussions with several potential occupiers.
