Owners of Wiltshire’s newest business park have submitted a second Detailed Planning Application which they hope will bring more benefits to the scheme.
Property experts HPH, who are behind the 35-acre Hawke Ridge Business Park near Westbury, have submitted an application to Wiltshire Council for a number of retail and food outlets.
The roadside scheme located to the front of the park will include a small convenience store, a drive-through, three retail units and associated parking.
HPH has already invested £2 million in ground works, including a new roundabout, access roads, connection to mains services, landscaping, bus shelters and new signage.
A Detailed Planning Application for four business units was recently approved by Wiltshire Council. The units vary in size from 7,500sq ft to 35,000 sq ft. with a total area of 67,500 sq ft.
Chris Wordsworth, Development Director at HPH Ltd, said the latest application was responding to local and commercial demand.
He said “It has always been our ambition at Hawke Ridge Business Park to support the needs of local businesses.
“Very early on in the planning process we spoke to firms in the Westbury area and asked them about existing amenities. The response we received was very clear that there was a lack of local facilities.
“We believe this small roadside scheme will support the local workforces as well as the new occupiers at Hawke Ridge Business Park.
He added “We have spent many months in discussions with potential occupiers, including a leading fast-food chain and a national convenience store, who have expressed a strong interest in the site.”
