Guyers House Hotel tackled the Jurassic Coast in Dorset on 21 June to raise funds for Bath Rugby Foundation. Bath Rugby Foundation works with disabled and disadvantaged children in the local community running education and inclusion programmes using sport to engage young people. The programmes are designed to enthuse and motivate, helping people to reach their potential in all areas of life.
Four members representing Guyers House including Sian Swift, Sales and Marketing Manager and Wendy New, Events Manager, completed the walk, which took place in beautiful sunshine. The Trekathon which covered approximately 19 miles started at Durlston Head and finished at Lulworth Cove.
Over 30 walkers took part in the event and the Guyers House team raised in excess of £1,000 for the charity.
“We were delighted to give up our time for such a worthwhile and local cause” said Sian Swift. “The walk was brilliantly organised by Discovery Adventure, with lots of water on hand for the intrepid walkers”.
