A new builders merchant has opened in Swindon creating nine local jobs.

Grant & Stone’s new branch has opened on Headlands Industrial Estate. The store offers building materials, plumbing supplies, timber and sheet materials, landscaping products, and painting and decorating supplies, catering for construction professionals and DIY enthusiasts.

Established in 1987, Grant & Stone has stores throughout central-south England.

This latest addition to the company’s portfolio complements the company’s existing electrical wholesalers located in the town, and the expansion reflects Grant & Stone’s dedication to providing customers with a comprehensive range of high-quality products.

Lee Adcock, Manager at Grant & Stone’s new Swindon branch, said, “We are delighted to be expanding our presence in Swindon and offering even more choice to our customers. At Grant & Stone, we are committed to developing long-term relationships with local tradespeople and people embarking on home improvement projects. Building on the success of our electrical wholesaler, we aim to uphold our reputation for supplying high-quality products and delivering exceptional customer service at our new branch. We look forward to welcoming people through the door.”

Mat Miller, Managing Director of Grant & Stone Building & Timber Merchants, added, “Swindon is an important location for us as it connects our existing branch network across Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Buckinghamshire with our sister company Buildit in Gloucestershire. This expansion ensures our customers have convenient access to our wide range of products and services, whether they prefer to collect from a Grant & Stone or Buildit branch directly, or enjoy the convenience of free same day/next day delivery.”
