Food inventor Charlie Harry to visit Wiltshire College Lackham

By Anita Jaynes on 8 October, 2015

Edible inventor Charlie Harry will showcase some of his innovative contraptions when he visits Wiltshire College Lackham later this month.

Famous for his edible mists, glow in the dark ice cream and candyfloss whirlwinds, the founder of experimental events company Lick Me I’m Delicious, will also talk about ‘The Importance of Curiosity’ and ‘Innovation in Business’ when he is guest speaker at the Wilshire 3D Enterprise Centre on Wednesday October 21.

The event is part of The Enterprise Network’s ‘Enterprise Series’ of free networking and learning events with top UK entrepreneurs who are sharing their knowledge and insights into start up, growing and innovative small business.

Charlie, who grew up on a farm in South Wales and went to Bath Spa University where he studied Business and Marketing, has a long history of inventing weird machines and was delighted to set up his company in 2011 after building his first contraption, the nitro parlour, in his lounge.

Since then the company has gone from strength to strength, covering events such as Emma Watson’s wrap party for her latest film Beauty and The Beast, weddings and even Wimbledon.

Charlie has also presented futuristic food on Channel 4’s Gadget Man, made experimental desserts for Jamie Oliver and Jimmy Doherty and appeared on Gino and Mel’s Let’s Do Lunch as well as BBC’s The One Show.

This event is ideal for anyone seeking inspiration on how to be creative and have fun in business and after a talk from Charlie Harry, there is a free lunch and a chance to meet with business and experts for free information and advice.

It takes place on Wednesday, October 21, from 10.30am until 3pm at the Wiltshire 3D Enterprise Centre, based at Lackham House.
