Consultant civil engineer Tony Daly has been welcomed as the first business tenant at the new White Horse Enterprise Centre in Trowbridge.
“I’d been thinking about renting an office for a while when I read in the local paper that the Enterprise Centre had opened, said Tony “I like the individual offices, and the communal networking space, and I felt the rate was very competitive.”
The new White Horse Enterprise Centre has been developed as part of a county-wide £5.2m initiative led by Wiltshire Council called The Enterprise Network.
This programme aims to support new and growing small businesses by offering affordable work space, free expert business support and access to business grants.
A highly experienced engineer specialising in IT systems which manage the lifecycle of motorway embankments and cuttings, Tony launched his own business Amageo Ltd in 2011 after many years in the private and public sectors, and is currently working with Arup on a Highways Agency contract.
Tony worked from home for the past three years, but his business was growing, having recently taken on two employees, so the time was right to move away from a home office.
“I’m really pleased I took the decision to move to the White Horse Enterprise Centre and would recommend other business to come and take a look. I now feel confident to grow my businesses knowing I have everything I need.”
