Swindon- based telecoms and IT solutions service provider, Excalibur Communications, has been awarded gold accreditation against the Investors in People (IIP) Standard.
The firm claims that “only two per cent” of IIP recognised companies are expected to achieve gold accreditation and that the award “demonstrates its commitment to high performance through good people management.”
Excalibur has been in operation for 20 years and provides businesses and schools with technology solutions and ongoing support aimed at improving efficiency, enabling growth and increasing profitability. It has over 60 employees serving 4,000 enterprises across the UK, ranging from small to large business.
It is committed to providing the “highest levels of service available” in the industry and places a “huge emphasis” on its charitable activities in the South West. Most recently, employees raised £20,000 for local mental health charities in a ‘Round the World in 80 Working Days’ virtual cycling challenge.
Investors in People is the “international standard” for people management, defining what it takes to lead, support and manage people effectively to achieve sustainable results. Underpinning the Standard is the Investors in People framework, reflecting the latest workplace trends, essential skills and effective structures required to “outperform in any industry.”
Paul Devoy, head of Investors in People, said: “We’d like to congratulate Excalibur Communications. Investors in People accreditation is the sign of a great employer, an outperforming place to work and a clear commitment to success. Excalibur should be extremely proud of their achievement.”
Commenting on the award, Peter Boucher, Excalibur CEO, said that Excalibur employees “truly care and value” the environment they work in.
He explained: “While we have always invested in the Excalibur team, it is our staff who have challenged the management to go further in building an ‘even better’ work environment. This award reflects the positive partnership between ourselves and our employees.”
