Excalibur Communications has been named as a Sunday Times Top 100 Best Small Company to Work For in 2020.

Placed 56th on the list, the South West based communications and IT company has also been awarded a Three Star Accreditation from Best Companies, which recognises its ‘extraordinary’ levels of employee engagement.

Excalibur saw significant improvements in its score for wellbeing, rising by 11 per cent from 2019. There was also a seven per cent score increase in relation to employees feeling they receive a fair deal when it comes to salary and benefits.

The Best Companies recognition programme is a benchmark of employee engagement within British business and reflects what staff are saying about their employers and their workplace environments.

It takes into consideration company benefits, policies, processes and facilities, and asks for the views of employees via a confidential survey.

This is the third time Excalibur has been a Top 100 Company to Work For and the fourth year it has achieved a Best Companies accreditation.

Peter Boucher, CEO of Excalibur COmmunications, said, “It’s great to be in the Top 100 Best UK Small Companies to Work For.  We want to be a great place to work and relentlessly look at ways to engage our team on a professional and personal level.

“With an emphasis on health and wellbeing and good management support, cross team relationships have improved enormously.  The confidence of individuals has grown, with people more willing to take responsibility for decision making and having the confidence to try out new things for us and our customers.  This award recognises the improvements we’ve made and how much employees value them.”

Jonathan Austin, CEO & Founder of Best Companies, added, “I would like to congratulate Excalibur on this achievement. Best Companies have been producing the accreditation standard since 2006 to acknowledge excellence in the workplace. Organisations like Excalibur have continued to focus on their employees and have been rewarded with an engaged workforce who tell us that this is a best company to work for.”
