Alison Edgar, The Entrepreneur’s Godmother, has launched her first online course. Alison has been named one of the UK’s top 10 businesses advisers and more recently made the top 100 most influential entrepreneurs in Britain. Since launching her new brand, The Entrepreneur’s Godmother in May, it has received overwhelming feedback from the small business community. The brand was created to fill the gap left behind by the removal of Government funding schemes, Growth Vouchers and Growth Accelerator, which provided start-up and small businesses with access to specialist advice.
Alison’s passion for helping start-ups, micros and owner-manged businesses is clearly demonstrated through the voluntary work she does as a mentor with organisations such as; Small Business Saturday, Entrepreneurial Spark, and Startup Britain. It is Alison’s passion and drive that encouraged her to develop and launch The Entrepreneur’s Godmother.
With Alison’s Easy Peasy Sales courses becoming increasingly popular, Alison decided the next logical step was to create an online course. She said: “Developing an online course was the obvious thing to do to meet demand from entrepreneurs nationally and internationally, helping them to take their business to the next level by increasing sales.”
Alison’s course is called ‘Easy Peasy Sales Online’ and has similar content and structure as her Easy Peasy Sales face-to-face course. It focuses on the four key pillars of sales, understanding behaviours, sales process, sales strategy and confidence. The course aims to provide small businesses with the knowledge they need to develop an effective sales strategy and build sales confidence. Although the course is online, Alison was determined to make the course as interactive and fun as her live course. To do this a workbook has been included to set tasks and ask questions that challenge the learner and keep them engaged.
Lisa Berry, owner of Cheeky Little Prints and recent graduate of the online course, said: “Small business owners are time poor, so the online method allows them to learn at their own pace and a time which best suits them. I have just completed the course and it was absolutely great. It gave me a huge amount of information, things I had not considered before.
