Fast growth small business network Enterprise Nation has announced it is to open a Wiltshire arm as part of its plans to roll out the support it offers to early stage entrepreneurs.
Enterprise Nation South West champion Alison Edgar is to head-up the operation and is set to launch a comprehensive programme of entrepreneurial events and workshops on Thursday November 12 at the Manor House Enterprise Centre in Royal Wootton Bassett at 5pm.
Alison, who runs Chippenham-based Sales Coaching Solutions, said: “It is an honour to be the South West regional champion for Enterprise Nation. The network shares my core value of helping small business start and grow, so it is a true thrill to be organising the Wiltshire launch and on-going events.
“My vision is to bring an entrepreneurial buzz to our area by delivering similar events to those delivered in London, but with a regional twist.”
Enterprise Nation’s Wiltshire arm is set to offer hundreds of entrepreneurs the chance to find a mentor, take part in monthly business growth workshops, regular networking events and hear stories from successful entrepreneurs, as well as get access to the online webinars and digital support the network already delivers.
Enterprise Nation already runs an events and education space for small businesses at Somerset House in London and a growth hub in Barnsley.
Emma Jones, MBE, founder of Enterprise Nation, said: “By opening a dedicated enterprise arm in Wiltshire we expect to see even more entrepreneurs gain access to growth advice, mentoring and events that will help to build a sustainable and thriving entrepreneurial economy in Wiltshire.
“It’s a well-established fact that entrepreneurs that have access to support do better than those that don’t. We want to help entrepreneurs from all over the UK to build profitability whilst making the most of a skill or passion.
“Over the coming years we’ll see more, not less people working in this way – choosing a life of enterprise and being their own boss. We need to be ready for that and deliver the advice and support they need to succeed.”
Enterprise Nation’s Wiltshire branch is part of the network’s national expansion plans, which has already seen the creation of 12 regional enterprise champions, a growth hub in Barnsley, five roving pop-up business advice clinics as well as the recent success of the Festival of Female Entrepreneurs in Bristol.
The network has already delivered £6m worth of support to British-based entrepreneurs in 2015, through over a hundred nationwide events so far this year, which have seen it partner with global tech brands Facebook, Microsoft and Constant Contact; its adviser marketplace, its massive StartUp 2015 event, its mentoring at Click Barnsley and free expert consultation calls.
