By Anita Jaynes on 28 October, 2015

Wiltshire businesses keen to maximise the potential opportunities offered by the county’s growing military community will hear from experts at a free event on November 5.

The all-day event at Castledown Enterprise Centre, Ludgershall is organised by The Enterprise Network Swindon and Wiltshire. This event will also be live-streamed to The Enterprise Network’s other Enterprise Centres in Royal Wootton Bassett, Salisbury and Trowbridge,.

Rachel Finlay from The Enterprise Network said: “Businesses will find out more about adapting and expanding their products and services to meet the demands of this rapidly-expanding market – the local military community.

“Swindon-based Nationwide, which has been in the vanguard of leveraging the military presence in the county with a successful transition recruitment programme and a range of services for personnel and their dependants, will be sharing their expertise.

“In addition, former RAF fighter pilot and top rugby player Rory Underwood will talk about his experiences including the challenges of setting up his own business and the merits of employing ex-military, along with rugby anecdotes.

“There will be inspiration, ideas for how businesses can benefit from the military presence and information about where to get advice, help and support to access this potential marketplace.”
