Determined to beat Blue Monday? Rombourne has the answer

By Anita Jaynes on 7 January, 2020

Rombourne Serviced Offices in Swindon has an antidote to this year’s Blue Monday on 20th January – it is hosting a free People Development workshop.

The event, from 1-4pm at Rombourne in West Swindon, is being staged to tie in with the annual day in January, dubbed Blue Monday, which is claimed to be the most depressing day of the year.

Teaming up to run the workshop are John Lewis, of JL Mindset Performance, and Jamie Martin, of Correct Careers Coaching. The two share similar values and interests for personal development and mindset, and their workshop will offer inspiration and techniques to anyone looking to improve personal and business performance, to support employee retention.

Danielle Mottram, Manager of Rombourne, at Kingston House, which offers a range of different sized serviced office suites, said, “We are looking forward to this free workshop. Jamie and John are very enthusiastic about supporting people, and what better way to get through Blue Monday than looking at your own development?”

The workshop will cover a range of topics, including setting business and life goals, individual wellbeing, motivation and employee retention.

Jamie said, “I’m thrilled to be co-hosting this workshop with John to provide mindset and performance development to help with business growth within Swindon and surrounding areas. The support from Rombourne in organising this workshop has been excellent and demonstrates their care for the local business community.”

John added, “I’ve previously delivered a workshop at Rombourne. Danielle and the team, made sure the afternoon went smoothly and were on hand before, during and after the event. Because of their attention to detail, there was only one location we wanted to host this new workshop.”

The People Development workshop will be the first in a series that Rombourne is planning to stage during 2020. Other topics to be covered are likely to include social media and developing a business.

Danielle added, “We like to give added value to our resident businesses and to the wider business community by staging these free workshops and events. If other business owners would like to use our venue to offer a free workshop, and have a topic in mind that would be of interest to local companies, we would love to hear from them.”
