Chippenham BID and Awdry Bailey and Douglas have announced that “by popular demand” the deadline for entering the Chippenham Business Awards 2018 has been extended to Friday 22 December 2017 to allow “more businesses the chance to submit their entries at this busy time of year.”
The Chippenham Business Awards are an opportunity for businesses within 5 miles of SN15 3HU to “celebrate the successes” they have enjoyed over the last year, and “receive recognition” for all their hard work. It is also a chance for individual businesspeople in the area to be recognised by their peers and colleagues for the contributions and accomplishments they have made in their careers.
Any type of business is eligible to enter, with 11 categories of award waiting to be claimed. Each category is self-nominated with the exception of the Lifetime Achievement Award, where nominations are welcome from those who can “identify a businessperson who has made a contribution to business in Chippenham for at least 20 years.”
The organisers welcome entries from both large and small businesses and claim they are “looking forward” to joining the sponsors who will be judging the entries. A spokesperson for the organisers said that this year’s judges will be “faced with some difficult decisions.”
The Chippenham Business Awards presentation evening takes place on 22 February 2018 at the Neeld Community and Arts Centre, hosted by Marc Allum who is returning after his popular presentation at the 2017 Chippenham Business Awards.
