Corsham to host Safer Internet Festival

By Anita Jaynes on January 01, 2019

The Corsham Institute is holding a digital festival with a range of free events from Monday 4th February – Tuesday 19th February as part of their Children and Young People programme.

There’s something suitable for all the family, events include:

  • Microbit Workshops
  • Game Making Sessions
  • Intergenerational Digital Skills Support
  • A Technology Showcase (3D printers, drones and more)

Through these events young people will have the chance to explore more of the creative side of technology and be inspired to continue learning. Whilst the majority of events are focussed on young people, The Corsham Institute has also planned a selection of sessions which welcome everyone to gain support with digital skills and experience new technologies. These events are the beginning of a longer term programme of work in the community on young people’s digital skills, safety and creativity.

Spaces are limited so early booking is recommended. Click here to find out more and to book.

The Corsham Institute supports people to develop digital skills alongside life skills such as creativity, critical thinking and problem solving. They work to identify digital skills gaps across the UK workplace, and in partnership with the community, businesses and other organisations develop programmes to close the gaps.
