To mark International Women’s Day 2023, which this year took place on Wednesday 8th March, we’re celebrating some of Swindon and Wiltshire’s most inspiring women.
Through our social media channels, we asked our readers which women in our community inspire them and created a list of 20. The list is printed in our Feb/March magazine and from Wednesday 1st March, every weekday throughout the month we are profiling and championing each of these fantastic women online and via our social feeds.
Today we put the spotlight on Sadie Sharp…
Sadie is Founder of The Platform Project – an innovative youth development non-profit on a mission to create a new way to plug the gap between education and employment.
Having gone self-employed and set up her first consultancy business at just 24, she became one of the UK’s youngest management consultants. Over the past 15 years she has started six companies, coached CEO’s, trained over 10,000 managers, delivered keynotes to audiences of 800-plus people, done stand-up comedy, and published a memoirs style book about her personal journey bouncing back from a breakdown and depression aged just 31.
She now holds a number of Non-Executive Director roles guiding companies through transformational growth and has plans to develop The Platform Project into a social franchise model.
