Book now for webinars helping businesses deal with the impact of Covid-19

As part of The Swindon & Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership’s ‘This Way up’ programme, Team i, a leadership and team development company, is to host two FREE webinars this October aimed at helping businesses re-define their purpose in the wake of Covid-19.

The programs run by Team i use the success of elite sport as their narrative, helping companies embed the key elements of that success into their own business.

Research carried out by Team i has found that belief in the leader is the biggest driver behind employee engagement. Effective leaders can strategically create a clear purpose and then effectively communicate it to all stakeholders, be they employees, investors, customers or the media. The leader needs to be passionate and committed to delivering the purpose, or the organisation will fail.

The first in the series of webinars took place on 24th September and was well received by over 30 participants.

The October webinars are:

Leadership: How to define your purpose and ensure your team are aligned Thursday 8th October, 10:00

Leadership: How to measure progress, review and re-set Thursday 15th October, 10:00

Tim Thurston, Director of Team i, is an experienced business leader, with over 30 years of management experience of businesses including magazines, newspapers, radio and local TV stations, leading and developing teams to achieve consistent success. He is also a Director of TeamDoctor, a business that creates educational films to help employee engagement and wellbeing.

He said, “Having a well-defined, balanced purpose is essential to the success of any organisation. The purpose should set the compass and all activities should then be aligned.

“Having a clear purpose is also essential for individuals in an organisation and is seen as the key driver of engagement.”
