Dreaming of a Black Nova Christmas

By Ben Carey on 12 December, 2022

Members of the local business community were welcomed to the offices of Black Nova Designs recently for a festive celebration on Small Business Saturday.

The Calne-based tech company, run by Kyle and Danielle Holmes, will next year embark on its seventh year in business.

With roots firmly in Calne, Black Nova Designs wanted to welcome the local community, business owners and clients to the offices to share some Christmas cheer at the end of what has been a difficult year for many.

Whilst the focus was on celebrating Christmas, the event gave individuals the opportunity to discover more about the services and initiatives Black Nova Designs offers, including the company’s ‘Build A PC’ days for children, which also raises money for charity.

Founder, Kyle Holmes, said, “Running your own business can be lonely, particularly for the first few years. Suddenly there are no social events, no ‘water cooler’ moments and no Christmas bash. We wanted to have an open day and Christmas Party to invite business owners and members of the public from Wiltshire who wanted to share some festive cheer.”

Managing Director, Danielle Holmes, added, “We’d like to thank everyone who came along to celebrate Christmas with our team and to recognise our vibrant small business sector in Wiltshire on Small Business Saturday 2022!”

The event included food and drink from local businesses Fluffy Puffin and Little Grazey, as well as a charity raffle for a hamper of goodies worth over £250. The raffle consisted of donations from other businesses and clients of the hosts, such as BlocO Choc, Femme Magazine, Zozo Thomas and many more. The event raised £65 for local charity, Wiltshire MIND.
